About Us

Who We Are

EMERJ Fit is a UK based fitness organisation. It was founded by Mr Jordan Ferguson in 2022 as an injury rehabilitation clinic under the name of Jordan Ferguson Sports Therapy. It initally began as a mobile service providing treatments and pain relief to clients from the comfort of their own home. This later changed upon the signing of a lease to rent a room at a gym local to Jordan. The rebrand then happened in 2024 and EMERJ Fit as we know it today was born.

The organisation was founded on the ideology of Mr Ferguson. The idea that people should be able to move freely and move with strong foundations no matter what age or stage of life they are. He wanted to provide a service for people that would not only help them to reduce pain and improve movement, but one that would also help them to gain strength and size while simultaneously improving the overall quality of their life through higher energy levels and increased body function.

EMERJ Fit now stands with a HQ in Goodbody's Gym, Retford. This is where all manual practices currently take place at the hands of founder and CEO Jordan Ferguson. The organisation also deals in events packages, offering the expertise and specialised skill sets to be present at desired fitness, lifting and other community events.

- Jordan Ferguson BSc (hons), CEO, Founder and Head Therapist

Meet Jordan our CEO, Founder and current Head Practitioner. Jordan has always been massively involved in sports, health and fitness. When he was just 6 months old, his parents took him to swimming lessons, he continued this until around the age of 11, at which point he joined in sport of Lifesaving.

Jordan began completing the club level awards and was awarded the Distinction award, the highest club award able to be achieved, for completing all 12 core awards within 2 years. During his time completing this award, Jordan began competing in the sport. He performed local and regional competitions before moving on to national level competitions as well. He placed well in the national speed competitions throughout 2017 but he wanted to push further and was aiming to qualify for the World Lifesaving Championships, these were to be held in November of 2018 in Adelaide Australia.

Jordan was also performing and competing in trampolining and football at the time and happened to sustain a major injury whilst trampoline training in August of 2017. He ended up dislocating his elbow and breaking the bone at the attachment point of the humerus. Due to this he had to undergo surgery where 2 pins were put into the arm to reattach the joint. Jordan was in cast for a total of around 8 weeks. Once the final cast was off and the second surgery was complete, Jordan began with injury rehabilitation using a private sports therapist.

He went from having minimal movement and zero strength in his arm in October 2017 to competing and setting personal best times in a national competition February/March 2018, in this event he qualified for the World Championships to be held later that same year. Throughout 2018, Jordan continued attending national and regional competitions in preparations for the World Championships and he ended up placing 10th nationally in his best event, with a time that was less than a second off of 1st place! He then became the only member of his club to qualify for the World Championships in every single individual event.

Fast forward to November 2018, Jordan and his team (Retford District Lifesavers) boarded their flight. After 22 hours on the plane with 1 stop for less than an hour, they had made it to Australia. The first week was training week and sightseeing prior to competing, where the team would train twice a day, once in the pool and once on land. Then when it came time for the competition week, they started with the beach events and finished with the pool events. Upon completion of the first team event in the pool, Jordan and his 3 team mates were awarded Gold and declared World Champions, they became the first 4 British people to ever win that award. At the age of 16, Jordan had undergone an injury journey like no other, from a completely disconnected joint, to becoming a World Champion in the space of 15 months.

Jordan also returned to football and trampolining following his successful rehabilitation, he continued to perform and compete and made his debut at semi pro in football for Retford United during pre season of 2020/2021.

His own injury journey is what pushed him to become a Sports Therapist in the first place, he wanted to be able to provide for others what was provided for him. When they said he would never get full range of motion back, he took that as inspiration and regained 95%, including hyper-extension, the only thing he lost was around 5% of top range flexion, so not bad all in all.

Jordan then set up his business as a sole trader under the name of Jordan Ferguson Sports Therapy in 2022 whilst in his second year at University. He finished his degree in 2023 and was awarded a First Class BSc (hons) in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, and he later completed a Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coaching course (along with dry cupping, acupuncture, sports massage and various first aid qualifications).

This then leads to present day when Jordan decided to announce a rebrand and expand his business to offer more services with a greater outlook. The sole purpose of improving quality of life through health and fitness whilst prolonging movement for as long as possible.
